First Day on the Salt

This year we have been able to organise a phone connection directly to the Salt and we have some updates on the car and the runs it has completed so far.

In the first shakedown run the car ran 260mph. As the car has changed class for this year this to Fuel Competition Coupe & Sedan this is a new record for the class.

On the Second run the car went off song and Lionel Shut down the engine. Unfortunately the car has holed a piston. The team have enough spares with them and are in the process of putting the engine back together for a run either later today or early tomorrow.

As soon as the car is back up and running we will let everyone know how the next run goes.
